The company has seen an unprecedented level of demand for its Medical Oxygen products throughout the COVID-19 period, particularly by the NHS. There has been an enormous amount of investment in machinery and manufacturing equipment recently and the company has many new skilled staff working in specialist areas to help with the increased demand for our products. As the virus continues to shape events globally, we have not closed our factory and the manufacturing of Medical equipment is continuing as normal. We are keeping our staff up-to-date with information about the virus, methods of how to control the spread of it and using the NHS / UK Government websites for reference.
To ensure the safety of the Meditech staff, we have implicated extra precautions within the workspace. All work surfaces are cleaned on a regular basis, signs have been placed around the building with clear instructions on how to reduce the spread of the virus and markings on the floor have also been put in place to reduce close contact of colleagues where necessary. As of the 04/01/2021, our staff now take a Rapid Lateral Flow Test before entering the building which is conducted twice a week. This helps to ensure the factory continues to operate and allows our staff to feel safe within the work place.
Visitors to our factory are to knock on arrival and wait to be received. Before entering the building, visitors will be asked to take a Rapid Lateral Flow Test. If the results are clear, they may enter the premises. PPE will be provided and can be worn at their own discretion.
Delivery drivers are to knock / ring the bell on arrival and wait for an employee to receive the goods. If the driver has to enter the factory, they will undertake the procedures previously stated for visitors.
